Preppy Bumper Sticker Obsession

Rise and shine! At least try to. I’m up rather early this morning because I had a Skype interview for a job down in Charleston! I had to get up a bit earlier than usual to do my hair, fix my make up, and dress business casual. Oh, and sound coherent. No big deal.

In more exciting news, I met someone on Instagram (he also has a blog, check it out!) and he was telling me about a project he’s been working on. Basically, he emails companies for free samples of their products. I’ve read about people doing it before but I’ve never seen anyone who’s really been successful with it. He’s gotten everything from autographs to t-shirts! He sent me a few bumper stickers from his latest conquest. They just so happened to be from a few favorite stores of mine! Vineyard Vines, Southern Proper, Anchors, and several others! These are going straight onto my car.

 

If someone can figure out a way to get free Kate Spade and Lauduree macarons, then I’d be sending out emails all day everyday! I will however, send a few emails to other stores like Starbucks, Chipotle, Chick-fil-a, and maybe Target. I’ll let you know if they end up sending me anything!

Blog Inspiration!

When I wake up in the morning, the first thing on my mind is “what do I write about” (after coffee of course). I’m sure other bloggers feel the same way I do when they feel like there isn’t anything to write about. It’s basic writer’s block. What do we do to get past this? We find inspiration! This is mine for the day and I hope this will inspire you too! Sparkles, pinks, golds, and Vogue of course make for a big smile on my face and a renewed sense of what I love!

“Whoever said orange was the new pink was seriously disturbed!” Oh Elle Woods, you have the best quotes. But seriously, pink is so signature for summer. Last summer, coral tried to take over and that didn’t last (though I like the color). I’ve put together a little palette of my favorite shades of pink and different ways to wear them.

By no means am I insinuating that every girl can afford these expensive brands. Unlike some fashion/beauty bloggers, I understand that $40 lipstick is out of reach for most girls. Heck, Revlon lipstick is becoming a tad too pricey for me. I have found suitable alternatives to these fancy products at Target (I would say Wal-Mart but half the time people open the make up to test it first. Ew!).

Some of my favorite brands are ELF, NYC, Rimmel London, and Nyx. I also have noticed that towards the end of each season, they seem to put a lot of their make up on sale. Keep that in mind next time you’re in need of new beauty products!

One of the things I enjoyed the most growing up and moving around when I went to college was getting to decorate my bedroom. I’ve had Barbie themes, Princess themes, Hawaiian themes, and so many more! Having a place to go and relax is such a blessing for every girl (and guy)! Enjoy these soft, warm colors!
