J Crew Steals for the Fall

jcrew fall collection

Happy Wednesday friends. I’m back from my trip to New England feeling refreshed and relaxed. I absolutely loved it up north and really felt in touch with the ‘yankee’ roots on my mom’s side. We had a great time up there as a family, especially because it will probably be our last family trip for awhile as I’ll be most likely moving for my next job. Coming back from vacation is always hard but I love sleeping in my own bed! Do you know what I mean?

J Crew Finds

Last night, I was browsing through the J Crew website trying to find some steals. I came across clearance (Ok, not really, it was the first place I looked), and found some amazing deals! They had plenty of summer stuff but also quite a few things that could be worn this season. I focused the color palette on the primary colors- red, blue, and a touch of yellow! Best part is, almost everything is under $50 (plus, I think there’s free shipping going on!) These are just a few of my favorite things on clearance right now, there’s plenty of other things so go check it out!

Let me know if you buy anything and what you bought! Also, be sure to like my Facebook page, it could use some love!

Chic Shells: A Beach Theme for Your Home

Chic Shells
I’m so clever with titles aren’t I? I just loved the chicness of all these pieces put together. Beachy themes can either be really classy or really tacky. If you’re hanging anchors and putting sea shells everywhere (complete with crusty sand) I would say it’s a little tacky. However, capitalizing on the natural elements of the beach is a great way to bring the outdoors into your home without literally doing it (think of those sand crusted sea shells).

Fourth of July Fashion!

Hello everyone! In true Fourth of July fashion I’m sporting the red, white, and blue! This is one of my favorite holidays as my family came here from Ireland, Scotland, and several other European countries in search of freedom and opportunity. That was 100 years ago. Now, I enjoy the benefits of being a pure bred American girl!

Fourth_of_july_outfitAnyway, my outfit consists of a lacey red top from Banana Republic (on sale!) White 3 inch inseam shorts from JCrew (also on sale!) My sandals are from Rampage and I found them at Burlington Coat Factory for $10.

My necklace is from Forever 21 and the anchor earrings are from Aldo.Essie_nails The nail polish is Essie in “Secret Lining” and my sunnies are from Ann Taylor.

Comment below with your outfit of the day! Happy 4th of July! God Bless my beautiful America!

Bring to the Beach!

Bring to the Beach
As beach season is well underway I’m planning a lovely beach vacation to the Maryland eastern shore. I stock up on beach wear and summery things usually 2 seasons before it begins (that’s when things from the previous summer season are on sale) so I have everything I need already! However, am I really ready?
The one thing I forgot was sunscreen at a decent price. Since I forgot something, chances are so did you. Here’s a little visual list of things to remember to bring with you for your next beach vacation!
