Hey gals! I hope your first few days of spring have been beautiful! It’s warming up really fast here in Dallas and I just finished cleaning out my closet and putting all my spring and summer clothing on the hangers. I absolutely love spring time and all the cute clothes that come with it. I recently did a little shopping (surprise, surprise) and found this fantastic “little black dress” to style for the spring. It’s seriously the perfect go-to basic dress for everyday wear. BONUS: It comes in 6 colors and is currently on sale!!! I linked everything I’m wearing above!

This dress is so comfortable and so easy to style. I found those adorable tassel earrings on sale and decided to wear them with the dress and the rest of the outfit just kinda came together. Gotta admit that tying my chambray shirt around my waist was a total gamble on looking cute in 90’s era styles but I think I pulled it off! Galentine’s Day Gifts for Friends

Oh my goodness, Valentine’s Day is only a week away and I’m so excited! I love love love this special day not because I like to eat pounds of chocolate (but I do), mostly because I absolutely adore the color pink and giving little gifts to my girl friends. I’m usually a pretty creative person and my favorite things to pick out are themed gifts. For this blog post, I came up with three gifts you’ll love to give to your gal pals!

I’m a coffee lover and anyone who gets me a cute mug is automatically my favorite person. Coffee isn’t just something you sip at your desk, it’s a ritual in many cultures, something to be savored. Who doesn’t love a fresh manicure every once in awhile? Painting nails can be really relaxing for some people including me, that is until I end up screwing them up by smudging an almost dry nail. Only a few more weeks until Valentine’s Day! Most of us girls get excited for this special day (unless you’re my mom who’s too practical for all of it.) Since having moved to Dallas from the Washington, DC area, I’ve noticed an obvious lack of professional style amongst my peers. Don’t get me wrong, there are some snazzy dressers in this city! And frankly, I don’t always look like a stunner either. However, a professional wardrobe is so important to a young professional’s career. Dallas fashion is much more laid back than that of the DC area, and frankly, I really like that. But I’m never giving up my chic, professional wardrobe.

Personally, my ideal office style is pretty much every outfit worn in the The Devil Wears Prada. I think my “outfit of the day” I’m sharing with you definitely channels the styles featured in the movie. To be honest though, if I had to pick a style to stick with for the rest of my life, it wouldn’t be corporate chic. I’d much rather live out my life in the classic Jackie Kennedy style. Not only was she the First Lady, but she’s just as iconic as her husband was. I’d like to be remembered not only for my style but for the subtle power I had as a lady. And for me, style is power.

Hello lovely! I hope your Christmas was wonderful and full of surprises. Mine certainly was! I spent Christmas in San Antonio with my boyfriends family and we had a ball. Of course, I missed my own family in my home state of Maryland, but this was just as nice! It seems like the week between Christmas and New Year’s Eve is so rushed that I don’t even get time to enjoy the little break or the good sales going on.
