Charming Charlie Christmas Gifts

Happy hump day! Less than two weeks until Christmas and I still have shopping to do and gifts to wrap! Nothing seems to get done until the last minute during this season. There’s still a few decorations sitting in the hallway that need to go up and a bunch of cookies that need to be baked. Our chocolate lab, Riley, reminded me today that we need to find his “Christmas bandana” for him to wear (it has candy canes on it and he looks adorable.) Like I said, I’m behind on everything!

Christmas Gift Ideas

Yesterday, I browsed through a few stores finding Christmas presents and came upon Charming Charlie. I’ve always enjoyed going in and looking around for good deals on jewelry but I rarely find anything I absolutely love. Today was a totally different story! Everything I laid eyes on had me smiling. At one point, I considered getting a basket but knew that would be a bad idea. Instead, I happily admired the pretty things from afar. I also saw an adorable travel kit that included 3 canvas bags for shoes, laundry, and lingerie to organize your suitcase. My inner OCD is so happy at the thought of this!

I love summer for many reasons but probably the biggest reason has to do with the amazing sales that seem to come with the season! Peak Into my Bedroom

As I’ve slowly turned this bare-wall apartment into my unique space, I’ve taken some pretty pictures to document my success. I want to share with you a few things that are sitting around my room right now. Normally, I’d share with you my entire space but, contrary to what other life and style bloggers would like you to think, my room and my life are quite messy at times. As much as I adore pretty things like peonies, Kate Spade, Lilly Pulitzer, and macarons, I can promise you that my life isn’t always a “pretty thing.” This is just a little look I can offer you into my life!

Kate Spade New Arrivals!

Do you notice anything different about the blog today? Perhaps that it has a new name? That’s right! I’ve renamed this little blog of mine to “Witty N Pretty” and I couldn’t be happier. I mentioned in a previous post that I was going to start changing some things and I woke up today and decided I needed to make things happen. I was kind of nervous to do this but once I committed to the name and bought the domain name, I knew I had done the right thing. You’ll now find all of my posts on wittynpretty.com and my instagram account is @wittynpretty21!

On to the main event here, I was browsing Kate Spade’s website earlier and am thrilled by all the new arrivals! I thought I’d share a few of my favorites with you. Before I do, I’m wondering if any of you have noticed her new collection called ‘Madison Chaplin’ costs significantly more than her other collections? The tote bag I was looking at cost $1,198! Truthfully, I’m not sure what makes this collection better than the others but if you know, enlighten me!

Ok, how adorable is that ‘Mrs’ tote bag? I just love it! I’m totally jealous that I’m not at least engaged so I can buy that thing! Then again, if I were engaged at this point in my life, I would be too poor to buy it. The same goes for the ‘Cedar Street’ bag next to it, which looks an awful lot like a Celine purse. Coincidence? I think not.

My love of bows knows no boundaries. I really like this silk blouse for the office! The colorful stud earrings would brighten it up nicely. I think the best outfits have a neutral base but colorful accessories!

The last few things on my lust list for Kate Spade new arrivals are self-explanatory. Passport holder, need I say more? These sunglasses though, are perfect for my very round face. I hate “bug eye” sunnies and typically opt for glasses with some angles to them.

Delivery for Miss Liz

Hello sweet friends! I hope your Valentine’s or Galentine’s Day was lovely. Mine certainly was. I gave my wonderful mom a nautical themed charm bracelet that she was surprised by! The small beads were blue rhinestones and the 4 bigger charms were a sail boat, sea horse, beach chair, and heart. She gave me a bag full of cooking goodies I’ll be needing for whenever I move out and get my own place! She’s always thinking ahead and encouraging me that someday (hopefully soon) I’ll have my first job. There were also a few chocolate things in my surprise bag, most of which I’ve already devoured!

The biggest surprise of all was the dozen roses that were sent to me by someone very special to me. I was at work when they were delivered, but when I got home there was a note on the box and gorgeous magenta, yellow, and white roses inside! Nothing brings a smile to my face and energy to the air like flowers in the house! They roses are currently sitting on my vanity in a gold vase by my mirror.

I’m such a girly-girl when it comes to things like this. These little gestures and sweet things mean the world to me! Apparently, they mean just as much to my kitty-cat, Puddin’. Once I got the flowers out of their comfy bed in the box, my cat jumped right in, sat down, and made himself a little hiding place. It was a lovely Valentine’s Day for all!
