Pink Shopping Haul

pink haul

Today I’m super excited to share with you my fun Pink Victoria’s Secret haul! Every once in a while they send me really good coupons in the mail and I go splurge on a few pretty things. I’m not the type to willingly shell out $10.50 for underwear, so when there’s a sale and a coupon to go with it, I sprint to the nearest store!

Pink and Victoria’s Secret sent me a “free underwear with purchase” card so I went into both stores and bought a thing or two to qualify for the underwear. Spending the majority of my time in Pink, I got suckered into their 5 for $27.50 deal on undies. I love good deals, what can I say? Especially when that deal was paired with a $10 off a purchase of $35 or more card (I bought a water bottle I had been wanting.)

cute pink undies

The two free pairs of undies I got were so cute and I love the little sayings on them! You may be the only one who sees them, but you should still feel confident when you wear them. The best way to enjoy Pink’s amazing deals is buy signing up for an “Angel card” and using it every time you make a purchase. I’m not a fan of having a credit card for every store, but the coupons and offers you get when you have one from VS are great! A little bonus- right now Pink is giving away free fanny packs and koozies with any purchase! Go enjoy if you can!

Outlet Shopping Haul (and tips to find the deals)

jcrew loafers

I am so excited to share with you a few fab finds from my recent shopping trip to the Premium Outlets! Outlet shopping is one of my favorite things to do when I’m visiting a new city. Each region of the country I think has totally different inventory and it makes the trip that much more exciting. The best outlets I’ve been to have been in Orlando and San Antonio. For whatever reason, these states are sent all the goodies!

My first and and probably best find are these orchid-colored J Crew loafers! These pretty things are normally $98 at the outlet but I scored them on clearance for $30. They’re suede and perfect for fall!

statement jewelry preppy

This next piece is also from J Crew and retails at $52.50, I found it on clearance for $15.95! Normally, I don’t like to spend much on jewelry unless it’s a really quality piece (think real pearls). When I saw this my eyes lit up though. I love the coral and tortoiseshell pieces on the necklace. They really make it pop!

victorias secret bralette review

One of my favorite outlet stores to go into is the Victoria’s Secret outlet. I usually find some amazing deals here! Typically, I don’t like to share my bra and undie selections with everyone, but this was such a great deal I think I should. This particular bralette was on sale for $3.99! Does it give the best lift in the world? No. But if you’re staying at home or it’s laundry day, then it’s a must-have.

pink lace bra

Again, I don’t like to share my undergarments with people but this was another great deal. This Victoria’s Secret bra was in a bin of a thousand others just like it, all for $6.99. It has great lift to it but not the best coverage. Ideally, you would wear it underneath something that didn’t need any extra padding.

banana republic fall haul

Getting to the end of my shopping haul, I found this beautiful, soft, cream-colored jacket for my mom! I raided the clearance rack when I got to the Banana Republic store and saw it. I didn’t even think about it before I snatched it up and bought it. The tag price was $119 and the clearance price was $17.99. Did I mention how cute it is?

Outlet shopping is one of those things that’s a hit or miss. Most of the time, I can find something great to bring home at a good price. The key to shopping at these places is consistency. You can’t go every few months and find a steal or even a deal. Going at least once a month is the best way to find things at low prices. Stores mark merchandise down usually twice a month and there are plenty of savvy shoppers that even know the days they do it.  Shop often!

Leave me a comment with your favorite find in this haul! Follow me on Facebook and Instagram for easy updates!

How the (South) West Was Fun

Hello lovelies! I’ve been on vacation for the last week and took a break from writing. I must say that I missed it and am glad to be back feeling refreshed and renewed. I was in San Antonio, Texas visiting relatives and a few friends while also taking in a bit of what the area had to offer. It was a really fun visit with lots of memories made and laughs shared.

I have a personal connection to the area as well. My dad and his brother and sisters spent a great deal of their growing up time at an Air Force base in San Antonio. I hadn’t been to Texas before, so getting to see a few of the places my dad and his family used to frequent was really nice. Experiencing the insane Texas heat (and humidity) was also quite a shocker. You’ll notice my hair is up in quite a few pictures. It was just too hot to wear it down and keeping it styled was just not happening. Scroll through the pictures below to see what I did!

More on my time in San Antonio to come tomorrow! I’ll be doing a little haul of the things I bought at the San Marcos outlets including a new Kate Spade bag perfect for any young professional lady!

Lilly for Target Haul

lilly_for_targetAs most of you know, yesterday, April 19th, was a mad dash to the nearest Target for Lilly lovers all over the United States. The colorful prints of Lilly Pulitzer came to Target for a seasonal collaboration and preppy girls everywhere went crazy. I, of course, was one of them!

Doors opened at 8am but my best friend Lindsey and I were smart enough to get there about an hour early to get in line. We were behind 3 other people and in about an hour another 50 had joined us. Stories circulated through the line about Targets in major cities having several hundred people waiting outside for hours. Suddenly, a lady from Target opened a door and peeped her head out, horrified at the line she saw. She gave careful instructions not to run and hurt anyone else. She also dropped a major bomb on lilly_pulitzer_maxi_dressus: there was only one of each size for every dress, top, and bottom they sold. The woman also made a snide remark about how she didn’t like or want any of the Lilly Pulitzer line but had to be here early to prepare for us. We quickly filed in and grabbed dresses and anything else we could find. It was gone within a minute. Then people made a made dash for accessories and home goods, both of which were gone in about 3 minutes. It was like Black Friday but crazier.

Anyway, after the mad dash was over I got in line to check out with the two items I was able to grab– a shift and a maxi dress. I overheard a lady ask a cashier what was going on this morning for there to be so many people at Target. When the cashier explained the lady said “I’ve never even heard of that brand. People are ridiculous.” Um no, we prefer ‘passionate’ thank you very much. I quickly bought my shift in Upstream and the strapless maxi dress in Nosie Posie then returned home to get ready for church. I’m still exhausted.

Easter Decor Inspiration

Easter is right around the corner and I didn’t realize it until I looked at my calendar. Why do these holidays sneak up on me?  I love to decorate and bake cute things for the season and I can’t do that if I’m not anticipating the holiday!

I love spring because of the colors and the warm temperatures. 68 degrees and pastel decor is just wonderful to me! I was browsing through a few stores the other day doing my own little inventory of the cute spring stuff they had in. I saw plenty of inspiring things that have me overly excited for the upcoming season and I’m sharing my favorites with you!

All of my favorite Easter things came from Target, Pier 1 Imports, and Crate & Barrel. They seriously have the most adorable things for decent prices. I’m always walking out of those stores wanting to decorate and make things pretty. What are your favorite stores to feel inspired in?
