Pink Fringe Sweater Under $30

I can’t believe I’m saying this but it’s finally under 80 degrees consistently! Of course it’ll go back up to 90 I’m sure… but for now, I’m wearing a sweater! This pink fringe sweater is a new favorite of mine! It comes in several colors and is under $30!

I normally never wear bright colors like this (burnt orange is about as crazy as it gets for me) but I feel so gorgeous in this color! I’m trying to step out of my comfort zone more often and wear things I normally wouldn’t. I usually go for a preppy/classic look but since moving to Texas, it’s like my whole wardrobe has changed.

The New England, East Coast preppy-look I grew up loving just isn’t a thing in Dallas. I’ve definitely changed my wardobe a lot since moving here. I’ve replaced cable-knit sweaters with denim jackets and basic long sleeve tees and that works. But when I go home- the duck boots are coming out!

Anywho- I’m going to be sharing more fall styles in the coming weeks. I’ll also be sharing my honeymoon outfits in November when I come home from ST. LUCIA!!! I literally cannot wait you guys! We’ve been planning this trip since January and now that it’s right around the corner I’m brimming with excitement! And the best part is, I’ll be going there with my HUSBAND! The countdown to wedding day is coming to an end and I couldn’t be more excited!

New Amazon Fashion Finds (and closet staples!)

pink waffle knit top

Red Dress | Pink Waffle Knit | Cowl Neck Sweater | Striped Cardigan | Leopard Jacket

Hey everyone! It’s finally fall! Sort of. It’s still 95 degrees everyday here in Texas but according to the calendar it’s pumpkin spice latte season!! And I am here for it!! I rounded up a few of my favorite fall Amazon styles I thought you might love too! I really am trying to build up a capsule wardrobe for each season and I feel like these pieces go with a lot and I’ll be wearing them often.

The red swing dress is super loose and flowy and comes in 5 colors! Normally, I go for navy blue every time but I figured a nice burgundy would be a good addition to my closet.

striped cardigan

The striped cardigan also comes in several color combos and it’s the softest cardigan I’ve ever worn! I really love it and will probably go back and get another.

The leopard print puffy coat is actually reversible and comes with an attached hood! I really like it for the winter months. I’d definitely size down because it runs large!

pink waffle knit

The pink off the shoulder waffle knit top is my new fave cozy top to wear with sweat pants or jeans! You can really do so much with it! It also comes in several colors!

red cowel neck top

Finally, the red cowl neck sweater is super cute with the button details! The only thing I didn’t like was that it comes vacuum packed so when you open it, it’s really wrinkled. Other than that it’s a great buy!

So enjoy shopping! I’m on the hunt for new items to share with you!

Leopard Print Trend This Fall

leopard print style

Oooh you guys leopard print is in this fall! I’ve been seeing it everywhere and it’s delightful! It’s to the point where I think it might be a new neutral in wardrobes. And I’m ok with that. I first started seeing it when I was browsing the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and knew it was going to be big this fall. I’ve since seen it all over Amazon and in other stores as well.

I searched all over to find some to share with you and I think you’ll love them! Fair warning, don’t just Google leopard print, you get a lot of tacky lingerie results before anything else comes up. Yikes. Anyway, my affiliate links to everything are below!

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Dupes!

nordstrom anniversary sale dupes

Hello lovelies! It’s the most wonderful time of the year- SALE SEASON! Every July my bank account is just like “can we stop spending money?!” This month is just the end-all-be-all of sales. And one of the biggest for fashion lovers is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! This is my first year being a Nordstrom card holder so I was excited to get early access to the sale. Bloggers I’ve been following for years hype this sale so much so I was ready to get my butt in gear and get the deals! Unfortunately, I don’t blog full time and have a normal job so I was definitely late to getting the items I was really after. By the time I was able to start shopping online… everything was sold out. Super.

On top of that, I was looking at prices for everything and while I totally recognize this is the upcoming fall collection they’re discounting, I was a little underwhelmed by the prices. Up to 40% off rarely gets my heart racing. Actually, it never does. As many of you know, we’re paying for our wedding on our own, so being on a budget and sticking to it is so important! So anyway, I went searching for Nordstrom Anniversary Sale dupes on Amazon to share with you guys and I found a lot of really cute things!

Amazon Dupes!

Ok so I’m linking all of the original items at Nordstrom and then the dupes below. I checked reviews for Amazon items and pretty much everyone had positive things to say!

  1. Felt hat: Nordstrom | Amazon
  2. Leather leggings: Nordstrom | Amazon
  3. Leopard print cardi: Nordstrom | Amazon
  4. Leather boots: Nordstrom | Amazon
  5. Striped cardi: Nordstrom | Amazon
  6. Wedge booties: Nordstrom | Amazon
  7. Leopard print slides: Nordstrom | Amazon
  8. Gray over the knee boots: Nordstrom | Amazon

Definitely share this with friends who were also disappointed everything was sold out on Nordstrom! I’m going to keep my eye out for things coming back in stock but I’m not holding my breath. Hopefully, you like these options just as much- I’m going to be purchasing quite a few things in the coming weeks!

Our Highland Park Village Engagement Photos

You guys I’ve been so excited to share these pictures with you! David and I took our engagement photos a few weekends ago and I’m over the moon with how they turned out! Our photographer Luisa is amazing and she and her husband have such an eye for capturing these special moments. We went to Highland Park Village to take some photos along the tree lined shopping areas and overgrown ivy walls. It was so pretty and just how I wanted it. Then we made our way over to Flippen Park to take some shots in the gazebo there and by the fountain.

I wanted our engagement photos to be really classic and something that reflected us. I knew taking photos in a grassy field outside the city was way not our style, so we chose to stay in the city. Highland Park Village is where Dallas’ top 1% go to shop. It’s a really lovely place and so much fun to stroll around with a cup of coffee. Lord knows I can’t afford to shop there yet!

David is wearing a suit from Brooks Brothers and I’m wearing a Ralph Lauren gown. I actually found my dress on eBay for $50 and got tons of compliments on it! Anyway, I can’t wait to show you the photo we choose for our save the dates we’re sending out in January! Hint: It isn’t a photo in this blog post!
