An ugly Christmas sweater knit by your grandma has become a Christmas party classic! Honestly, how can you not love this hilarious and fun party? But how do you make it look good? And where do you get a sweater if your grandma never knitted you one? I have the style know-how and Etsy has a wide variety of sweaters to choose from!
10 Best Ugly Christmas Sweaters
Let’s start with what you can wear an ugly sweater with- sequin leggings. You’ll literally be festive from head to toe and these leggings were quite a hit last year and I’m thinking they will be again this year. At least I plan on wearing some! Pair them with stilettos (preferably in red for even more festivity) and a cute little clutch like the Betsey Johnson one featured above.
In preparation for the party season, I browsed through Etsy for the ugliest Christmas sweaters and I’m sharing my favorites with you in a variety of price ranges. Leave a comment with your favorite one!

Yesterday I was scrolling through my blog feed minding my own business when I came across something I couldn’t help but fall in love with- coffee mugs with water color illustrations printed on the front of them! I’m a sucker for a cute coffee mug and anything water color, but combining the two is the fastest way for me to fall in love with something. I went to the Etsy store where the mugs are sold and voila! Even more cute things! A Thing Created just listed the mugs for sale and I’m so glad they did!
Stemming from this lovely discovery, I created my “currently coveting” list. I know, I’m so vain. This is my own way of organizing all the things I mentally have on my shopping list. I think all girls have something like this. If not, they should! Remembering the little things I’m saving for or working my hardest to someday have is a great motivator.
What else is on my currently coveting list? Well, I’m just so darn in love with Nars satin lip pencil in the color Yu. I could also add to the list a Vineyard Vines Shep Shirt! It’s a preppy hoodie! They were so clever when they designed these things.
It should be obvious to everyone by now but I’ll just throw it out there in case someone missed it- a Kate Spade handbag. Preferably the Cedar Street Maise bag in pebble/warm putty color combo. Speaking of Kate Spade, have you seen all her adorable sun glasses? I had no idea how cute they were! I’m trying to find some cat eye, torti colored ones for the summer and have yet to find any I love for a reasonable price. Sadly, Kate Spade doesn’t constitute a “reasonable price”. Someday…
Let me know what’s on your Currently Coveting list and I’ll check it out!
Hello fabulous friends! I love Sunday mornings. My routine is just so much more relaxing than any other day of the week. I like to start out with a cup of coffee and salted caramel biscotti and sit by the fire while I read the day’s headlines and check my Instagram feed. It’s the little things right?
Lately, I’ve been noticing a trend on Etsy and Instagram that many bloggers and artsy types are “currently coveting”- typography prints. These are the cute quotes, graphics, and icons you see on famous bloggers and Instagrammers desks and other styled spaces. I have several different prints on my walls and am looking to get a smaller one for my little desk.
I’d love to learn how to create my own typography prints but I think most people use Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator for their creations. Eventually, I’d really like to start an online boutique where I can create the things I’d most love to see on the market. Until I can do that, I’ll stick to admiring other people’s work. As a matter of fact, I was going through Etsy pages and saw six different prints I loved! I can’t buy all of them but I’d like your opinion on the best one. Comment below!

Hello loves! I hope your Monday is going swimmingly and you’re surrounded by pretty things. If you aren’t, then I have just the ticket for you! Everyday on Instagram and Pinterest I’m bombarded with things to love and to yearn for. I had a friend that told me I was a marketer’s dream because if it’s packaged pretty, then I’ll buy it. I concur. I rounded up a few of my favorite things that are inspiring me right now and am sending them your way!
Being surrounded by beautiful things is great for our mood and even better for our confidence. Inspiration is what makes our days productive and worth living. For example, in my own bedroom I’ve hung illustrations by my favorite artist, Inslee Haynes, and hung pretty printed quotes on my walls. My desk (though cluttered with papers at times) has a gold votive holder with brightly colored pens in it. I’ve also put my favorite candle near by.
My dresser has a mirrored perfume tray sitting on it and necklace mannequin with pearls draped around it. Across from my dresser is my bed, and while tempting to curl up in all hours of the day, I promptly make it after waking up and fluff the pillows and comforter. I also put a few decorative pillows on top along with a fluffy faux fur blanket.
There are so many things you can add to a space that really spark the creative flow in your mind for the day. As pictured above, here are the links to the pretty things inspiring me right now!
My last piece of inspiration for you: “Always believe something wonderful is about to happen!” Enjoy your day!
