Here’s a little Sunday inspiration for you! Whether you’re going out or staying in, a dusting of gold can add so much to your day. I’ve been feeling a “blah” here lately (the weather is never what I’d like it to be) and find that living life with as much color as possible really boosts my mood. Singing “the sun will come out tomorrow” is also a nice reminder that sometimes we will have bad days and even bad weeks, but there’s always something to look forward to.
Gold (much like pink), just makes me happy. Its the same color as pixie dust. Every once in awhile we all need just a little bit of it. Enjoy your day and color your world in gold this week! Leave a comment saying what your favorite “happy” color is!
I am a sucker for fashion illustrations. Ever since I saw Inslee Hayne’s cute little designs I have been addicted to finding other artists just like her. My favorite place to look for them is on Etsy! I’ve found so many great sketches and watercolor drawings that just have me in raptures. Lately, I’ve seen many artists sketching cute things like macarons, coffee cups, breakfast, stilettos heels, Chanel handbags, and statement jewelry.
To brighten your Sunday, I’m sharing with you an adorable Etsy store that I found selling the cutest sketches! Surprisingly, they aren’t that expensive either, retailing for about $20 each. I linked each sketch so you can find the drawings yourself and order them. Here are my top picks!
Please share with me some of your favorite Etsy stores so we can check them out! Thanks!
Browsing through Target the other day I came upon the nail polish section! Better yet, several things were on sale! I scored a bottle of CoverGirl polish for $1.48. It was originally $4.99. Needless to say, I feel accomplished. It was my little back to school gift to myself (post coming on my back to school outfit!) As I kept looking through all the wonderful colors, I started to get a feel for what shades might be popular for the fall. It was a mix of dark colors and a few lighter ones. Personally, I’m looking forward to deep shades of red and blue.
The nail polishes I’m showing you below have NOT been filtered or altered because I didn’t want to take away from the actual color of the polish. I’ve also included nail polish in all price ranges! Essie is around $8, Loreal $6, CoverGirl $5, NYC $2, and Sinful Colors runs about $2. Leave me a comment below saying what colors you prefer!
Three of my favorite colors! The two on the right are great transition colors for summer to fall!
These are just so great for fall! Love the warm undertones!
Love this rusty color!
I love both shades here. So warm and Autumn appropriate!
These colors are superb for fall! Dark and earthy!
I love the gray/blue tones in this. Sophisticated for any event!
These blues and green are great for that transitional time between summer and fall!
I love periwinkle!
This is my favorite blue. Very rich and full of life.
