Stocking Stuffer Ideas that Will Make You Swoon!

Stocking Stuffers

Happy Monday guys! It’s only a week until Christmas! Have you finished your shopping yet? Of course I haven’t but that’s not a surprise, I’m usually late to the party anyway. I’ve still gotta hit up the mall and make a few last minute orders from Amazon Prime. However, I have wrapped all the gifts I’ve bought so far! Winning!

So I don’t about you but stocking stuffers are some of my favorite gifts! My mom, I mean Santa, always used to put a new tooth brush, fuzzy socks, British candy, and other fun little things in my stocking when I was growing up. It was the best! Since I’m an adult(ish) now and living away from home, my boyfriend and I really didn’t do stockings. However, if you need to give your man a few ideas of what to put in yours, then send him my way! These  items are all under $10 and guaranteed to be a hit!

It always cracks me up how some stocking stuffer gift guides I’ve come across have items that are small enough to fit into a stocking but have a price tag large enough to be it’s own gift. Heck no is anyone getting $50 headphones and calling it a stinking stocking stuffer. I just can’t even with that. So like I said, everything on this list is under $10 and won’t break the bank! You can thank me later.

The Best Hostess Gifts from Hearth & Hand and My Love-Hate with Shiplap

The Very Best of

Oh my goodness I’ve been so excited about Chip & Joanna’s Hearth & Hand collection for Target! I had seen my local Target putting up these sheets around the collection so no one could see it yet and I was so tempted to peek! When the collection was revealed, it was exactly what I expected to see from them. It has Joanna written all over everything!

The pieces are very earthy and natural looking. They also have that homespun look that reminds me of classic Americana designs. I think its reasonably priced as well, which is always important! I went through all the pieces a million times and selected a few that I thought would be perfect as hostess gifts for the holiday season!

My Love-Hate Relationship with Shiplap

Joanna Gaines uses shiplap in pretty much every episode and she’s really good at designing with it. However, I’m not a big fan. I know, ridiculous aren’t I? Shiplap, when used by those who know what they’re doing with it and in moderation, can look great. The average person, like myself, will either install it wrong or make it look a little too Pinteresty. I love my pin boards but certain things are just overdone and shiplap is one of them.

I’m also not a fan of trendy anything. Similar to how dark wood paneling was popular way back when, shiplap is popular now. Give it a good 10 years and it will be – you guessed it- tacky. By all means enjoy the trend now but don’t invest too much. Trends come and go. Joanna certainly has beautiful taste in everything she designs but shiplap isn’t one of my favorite design pieces she often uses.

Have you bought anything from the collection? Let me know your thoughts on it!

New Year’s Eve Style Picks

new years eve 2017

Hello lovely! I hope your Christmas was wonderful and full of surprises. Mine certainly was! I spent Christmas in San Antonio with my boyfriends family and we had a ball. Of course, I missed my own family in my home state of Maryland, but this was just as nice! It seems like the week between Christmas and New Year’s Eve is so rushed that I don’t even get time to enjoy the little break or the good sales going on.

Speaking of New Year’s Eve, I’ve been combing my closet for something to wear this weekend and nothing seems to scream “wear me!”. I started browsing a few blogs for inspiration and thought I’d share a few New Year’s Eve outfit ideas with you! I want my life to sparkle and be exciting, and my style should reflect that! Enjoy your New Year’s parties and adventures!

Stocking Stuffer Ideas for Your Friends

christmas gift ideas

It’s the last Monday before Christmas and I’m getting excited! There’s just something beautiful and happy about this season and I wish I could bottle it up and carry it with me throughout the rest of the year! One of my favorite things to do during the week before Christmas is hit the stores to do some last minute shopping. It’s completely chaotic but that’s what makes it so fun.

I’ve done pretty much all of my shopping but one of the hardest things to find are good stocking stuffers! My mom, ahem, Santa I mean, used to give my sister and I cans of silly string and tell us to go at it. Usually, we ended up just going after my dad because it was way more fun! Anyway, I’ve included a few fun stocking stuffers to spark your creativity.

Stocking Stuffer Ideas for Women

Some of my favorite things I’ve gotten in my stocking in Christmases past (besides silly string) are nail polish, fuzzy socks, chocolate Santas, mittens, lip balm, and oddly, a whoopie cushion. Trust me, that provides hours of entertainment and laughs for the whole family! Here are a few other great ideas for a gal pal on your list! Vest Weather is Best Weather!

Happy Monday gal pals! I hope Your weekend was nice and you got a little Christmas shopping done! I was at home in Maryland for a long weekend with my parents and sister to celebrate Christmas a little early. Flights home this time of year are crazy expensive so I had to go back a little earlier than usual. My family gave me my gifts early (which inspired this post!) and it got me thinking about what the perfect Christmas gift is. Of course, it’s different for everyone but for #basic girls like me, there’s nothing better than a quilted vest! Particularly, if it’s monogrammed! Read on to find out where I got this adorable monogrammed vest.

Quilted vests have been around for ages but they came on the fashion scene not too long ago. I have quite a few hanging in my closet and each one is my favorite! Over the weekend, my parents gave me the coveted J. Crew Herringbone quilted vest as a Christmas gift. I was over the moon! I’ve been eyeing that vest since everyone started wearing it but I could never bring myself to buy it for whatever reason. I had sent a photo of it to my mom last month and she found it half off! We both certainly love a good deal!

Ok, so about the actual vest! I bought it from Marley Lilly earlier in the spring when they were half off and I’ve loved it since it came! How beautiful is the color? The cobalt blue just adds a little something extra to an otherwise ordinary vest. If they go on sale again, I’m definitely buying a few more colors! They’re a great Christmas gift for any girl on your list.
