Who else had a super long week besides me? I’m so glad it’s Friday! I’m sipping my coffee and giving snuggles to my kitty cat, Petunia, while I work from home today. Yay me! My weekend usually starts out with a shopping trip to Target where I browse the dollar spot for a few minutes (or an hour) and ends with a great brunch with David or a friend. Last weekend however, my Style Collective sister and I checked out a great Downtown Dallas brunch spot together!
Chrisy, of Collared Cashmere, and I spent Sunday morning visiting Americano, a whimsical Italian restaurant serving everything from hand-made pastas to Nutella-filled doughnuts. We started off our Sunday morning brunch with a cappuccino that was probably one of the best I’ve had in Dallas. Of course, if you prefer a little bubbly instead, they had a peach bellini that looked pretty and delicious!
My typical brunch choice usually depends on how much I ate the day before. Luckily, I’ve been in the gym a lot recently so I indulged a little and ordered their Ciabatta French Toast. This tasty menu item came with lemon-whipped ricotta, almonds, and a yummy cranberry maple syrup! It’s not a brunch choice I would usually make but it was well worth the risk!
Chrisy and I sat and chatted for awhile about fashion blogging before leaving to take a few blog photos of our outfits (because that’s what bloggers do all the time.) You can see my brunch outfit here! And can I also say how awesome it is to have a good photographer who can take blog photos for you? Seriously, she’s the best and David was getting tired of doing it anyways!
If you get the chance to visit Americano, be sure to stop in! Also, pay Chrisy a visit on her blog as well!
