The most beautiful and welcoming part of a home should be the foyer. This is where you receive your guests and ultimately, it’s the entrance to your home. Not every home has the room for a “grand entrance” and that’s not a problem. Create the illusion of a separate entrance by using furniture you might typically see in a foyer.
For example, if the formal entrance to your home is through your living room, vertically place your couch on the side of the door that has the most room, thus leaving a path between the wall and the couch. Within that path you might place a basket for shoes and umbrellas, a small bench, and a rug. Little touches like these go a long way into making your house a home.
I love your blog, it’s so chic! And I especially love that love seat, it is too pretty!
